"Start me up" comienza cantando Jagger , luego del entrecortante riff de la intro , en una canción en la que busca el placer sexual en forma desmedida. Así empieza el Tatoo You , un excelente disco que dejaba atrás el fallido éxito del "Emotional Rescue", para comenzar la década de los 80 con una sobrecarga de Rock&Roll y consolidar temas que luego se volverían himnos tanto para los Stones como para la mayoría de nosotros.
A continuación le sigue "Hang Fire", otra pieza hot , movida , bailable y tarareable de principio a fin donde el redoble inicial de Charlie Watts hace anuncio a un volcán de rock que está a punto de su límite de erupción.
Llega el turno de la magistral pieza de Richards "Little T&A"donde lo unico que pide es un par de tetas y un culo a gusto para que pueda ser su pequeño Rock & Roll.
Ocupandonos de otras excelentes piezas , es imposible dejar de olvidar el sonido punk de "Neighbors" donde Jagger solo quiere dejar en manifiesto su descontento con los vecinos; el agresivo blues "Black Limousine" y los falsetes y el piano de "Worried About You".
Para culminar, sinceramente "Slave", "Heaven", "Tops" y "No Use in Cryin", no son temas que me parezcan alucinantes y opaquen al resto de la lista , pero sin dudas el contenido emocional de las letras las hace parte de un álbum explendido.
Lo mejor es sin duda "Waiting on a Friend", con una sincera prosa cargada de amistad y emotivididad, en la que Mick afirma que no esta esperando a ninguna chica , sino que solo espera a un amigo. Es en este track donde la cuota adicional de emoción, pasión y melancolía se la agregan el expectacular saxo de Sonny Rollins junto a los inalcanzables tonos corales de Lisa Fischer.
Redondeando, "Tatoo you" es una joya formidable , un tatuaje que los Stones se encargaron de tatuar en millones de corazones.
